The Morning After

I was told that it really doesn't matter who you think you are marrying on your wedding day...because you will find out for sure the next morning.

Buying a business is like marriage -- it won't take long to find out what you really bought.  Once the make-up and fine apparel have been removed, it is often the case you might not like the sweetheart of a deal into which you thought you entered.

Due diligence, due diligence, due diligence..."a ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". I have several clients who routinely call me in early to evaluate their acquisitions and divestitures...I am not as enamored as they are with the warts, and they trust me to be brutally frank in this assessment...it has saved them millions!

Here's to the bride (and groom)!
